The Amazon Rainforest in particular is known as ‘the Lungs of the World’ because it sucks up global emissions of carbon dioxide and about 20% of earth’s oxygen is produced by the Amazonia not just that, more than half percent of the earth’s rainforest is in the Amazon, it is to the course that it’s even more heartbreaking that the world isn’t paying attention to our energy source.
The majority of the forest is contained within Brazil, with 60% of the rainforest, followed by Peru with 13%, Colombia with 10%, and with minor amounts in Venezuela,Ecuador,Bolivia, Guyana,Suriname and France .
The forest is inhabited by rare animals and we wonder if this fires wouldn’t lead to the extinct of these unique species of animals and green houses. With the continuity of global warming, its is our duty it protect our earth.
The Amazon is protected by tribe leaders and sometimes illegal loggers gain access to the forest carrying out serious deforestation activities illegally and since the wildfire, smog has been all over nearby cities in Brazil .
While the Brazilian government have done the best of their capabilities to hold the fire in check. Lightening is known to be the cause of major forest fires in the Amazon but in this case the fire has been faulted to actions of illegal loggers and farmers.
If we are to beat global warming, even at the tiniest bit we need the Amazon forest for it’s great carbon store to reduce global warming and the 20% oxygen for plant and animal lives.
Forest fires in the Amazon has been on for 3 weeks and the media has no coverage of it as it should.
Thousands of wildfire have been burnt to death alongside burnt trees.
