It’s Rema’s Turn, From Billboard Hot 100 To Most Viewed Nigerian Music Video On Youtube, this Benin boy just doesn’t stop and won’t stop.

Collaborating between Afrobeats artists and International artist is the new currency, we mean what better way to bring Afrobeats to the world? From Oxlade’s kulosa, essence by Tems and Wizkid, Ckay’s love nwantiti to Burna Boy’s Last last, Rema’s Calm down is set to break whatever records have been set by some of the biggest afrobeat records.

Sitting comfortably at #28 on this week’s billboard 100 after climbing 7 positions up the chart is Calm down featuring Selena Gomez. This also has a major influence on his album Rave and Roses. The album is currently at 176 on the Billboard 200 chart. What a time for Afrobeats.

It really takes the right collaboration to cause a big change. Calm down has also taken the most viewed Nigerian music video on youtube, displacing Ckay Love Nwantiti which previously held this position with 355 Million views.

The original version of calm down is currently at 356 million views within 11 months while the remix with Selena Gomez is over 263 Million views in just 4 months. The original video was directed by Director K and produced by Femi Dampson

Raves and Roses was released in March of 2022 under Jonzing World Entertainment and Mavin Global Holdings. And seems that the spark around the song isn’t coming down anytime soon.

The song is charting at #9 on US shazam top songs. It is currently #1 for a consecutive ninth week on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart. Lastly, it is projected to be one of the biggest afrobeat songs in history.
