So gist is yesterday 29th of March the Medical Student of the University of Benin willfully vacated their temporary space at Hall 5 with their belongings, and did a peaceful protest outside of The NDDC hostel in the school, seeking that they be let into the hostel which have already be allocated to students who are currently and legally staying there now. While the first list of legal occupants is out, the second list is awaiting. They ask that the Dean of Students let them into the hostel and for hours they weren’t allowed in up till 8pm.They were drenched by the rain with their belongings.While these students have declared this to be their rightful hostel Read Here from Nddc site, it clearly said to provide students with 696 bed space. Meanwhile news circulating is that the school authorities forcefully ejected them out,a bill was posted in all hostel in the school saying or temporary occupant should vacant their spaces.
